Paine Field November 19


ZB021 N789ZB taxis to 34L for a B1 flight.


T-33 N109X was the chase plane today.


ZB021, the first 787-9 to be powered by General Electric GEnx engines, took off from Paine Field in Everett, Wash., at 12:15 p.m. local time and landed 2 hours and 44 minutes later at Seattle's Boeing Field. Boeing will use ZB021 to test engine performance as well as airplane handling characteristics such as low-speed performance and braking. Photo and text by The Boeing Company.

 
N789ZB was moved out of the factory on November 1.
