FHC's B-25J Debut

The world’s most accurately restored WWII flying bomber just finished a 12 year restoration process and is about to make Paine Field in Everett it’s permanent home on Tuesday, June 7th.

Paul Allen acquired the B-25J in 1999, and began the rigorous restoration process. Allen soon decided to have the aircraft painted in the color-scheme of the 490th bomb squadron to honor Arnold Spielberg, father of the film legend Steven Spielberg, who served in the 490th squadron during WWII.

On Tuesday, June 7, 2011, the restored B-25J will depart from Chino, Calif. at 8:30 a.m. It will then briefly touchdown in Santa Rosa, Calif. for fuel and will complete its flight as it lands at the Flying Heritage Collection at approx. 4:00 p.m.

The public is invited to see the B-25J take flight at the Flying Heritage Collection’s free Fly Day event on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. Free parking is available just outside the hangar facility.

Boeing flightline. UPS 767 VR276 was moved out of the factory Wednesday night, note the engine in stall 101 covered with a blue tarp. Tonight at 0315z 787 line 2 N787EX landed and was parked in stall 101.
