787 Certification Event at Paine Field


Royal S King covered the 787 FAA certification ceremony at the compass rose this morning.



N787EX came by for a low approach at 10:00 AM, mission accomplished.




After the ceremony, N787BA took off....



....and came back for a low approach then went to Boeing Field.

A very short landing, looks like 5000 feet remaining on a 9000 foot runway.

Boeing Fire and Security were looking for an ELT signal on 121.5 MHz this afternoon, initially thought to be coming from a 747 in the 40-23.

Boeing flightline. UPS 767 VR276 was moved out of the factory Wednesday night, note the engine in stall 101 covered with a blue tarp. Tonight at 0315z 787 line 2 N787EX landed and was parked in stall 101.

Dreamliner Two N787EX is ready to be moved out of the temporary hangar November 14, 2009. The side-of-body modification is apparently complete. Dreamliner Four will likely be moved from ATS Hangar 3 to the tent on Sunday. Dreamliner One, N787BA, conducted VHF and HF radio checks with Boeing Everett Radio in the morning.

Paine Field August 20


N787EX comes out of the Boeing north gate to begin 6-1/2 hours of taxi tests.


N787EX performs a high speed taxi while conducting a thrust reverser test condition.


A thrust reverser test condition has just been completed on N787EX and it is being taxied to the compass rose for brake cooling.


N787EX is pushed back to stall 103 from the compass rose. Thrust reverser test conditions began at 1:30 PM and were completed at 8 PM.


N249BA arrives from Charleston.

N787EX performs a taxi test on runway 16R at Paine Field August 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM.


N787EX performs a high speed taxi test on runway 34L at Paine Field August 19, 2009 at 1:17 PM. Taxi tests began at 10:25 AM and were completed at 6 PM.
