Everett Factory Evacuated

September 30, 2009. At 5:15 PM a metallic bang was followed by a column of compressed air issuing from the 40-22 building (the 747-8 assembly bay) at the Boeing Everett factory. A large orange cloud spread out over the Boeing Freeway as the building was evacuated. Workers returned to the building at 5:45 PM.

Last 747-400 Out Of The Factory




The last 747-400, for LoadAir Cargo, is moved out of the factory while the 787 fatigue test aircraft is moved from the flightline to the 40-22. The 747-400 was moved back to the factory after the 787 was positioned in front of Dreamliner Three April 16, 2009.
