Paine Field December 19

Starting the snowplows...

Our donations have dropped off dramatically during this season of giving, $30 in the last 10 days, not even enough to cover the cost of gasoline for two days. Even though Boeing activity will be slow next week due to the holidays I would like to spend a few days at the airport, a fuel subsidy will certainly help.

  2. Good God Matt, Who gives a flying rats ass about your fuel and not being able to come to Paine Field

Seriously, You are the one who spends his whole day watching airplanes, reporting it, recording, taking photos of them and so why should we support your fuel tank for your hobby?

I'm glad I follow Airbus anyways

  3. Wouldn't we all like a contribution

  4. I'll send over a contribution Matt, for those of you who feel the need to be pricks about it, don't f@#king log onto the site. You obnoxious pricks make me sick, criticising someone who provides info for free to anyone with a computer. Bet you all voted for Obama.

  6. Matt, please disregard the rude comments. I value your insight and reporting, and will contribute again when I can. As for Mr. Airbus follower, what are you doing following a Boeing blog, and then making cruel comments? Go away and follow Airbus.

  7. Wow, seriously? Some people just make you shake your head. Pay them no mind Matt. Wish I could contribute more. Love the blog and follow it all the time. Have a happy holiday and a great new year, and keep the pics coming! Any time you're getting some airborne shots of KPAE, or even KCHS again? It would be interesting to see the field begin to clear up.

  8. All KPAE blogspot fans! We should all really to thank Matt for his tireless work. I invite everyone to contribute with donation. It is a present we give to not only Matt, but also for yourself.

  9. JohnV - That was a smart ass comment, I don't follow Airbus or Boeing

And Yeah I am being a Prick about it, This man sits at Paine Field all day long and wants to bitch about not having gas money because like some we work hard and don't spend countless hours tracking EVERY SINGLE thing that Boeing moves around

Seriously It's your fault for being broke and we shouldn't have to pay for your hobby!

  10. Matt provides a service. He doesn't have to, he chooses to. Would everyone prefer that he have commercial sponsors? If Smart Ass doesn't like it, he should go away. But he won't. He is obviously interested, but resents that someone would suggest that he help share the costs. Very telling. Smart Ass is a loser. Just go away loser.............

  11. Matt does not need to provide a service, Matt does not need to ask for money to support his hobby, I don't ask people to pay for my photography equipment and help pay for the maintenance of my equipment, No I don't because it's my job to take care of my things, Matt wants to spend long hours at the airport than he can do it and pay for his own gas money

  12. Those of you that are posting the negative comments..where is your $%^&@! aviation blog? You all sound mighty big and important criticizing Matt from the comfort of your mommy's basement. Instead of criticizing Matt's request, why don't you man up and send him a donation to keep this site going? I just sent him $100.

  13. First Off, I don't need an Aviation Blog I post on Airliners, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and none of my posts are Boeing Movements cause again I don't care to get everything Boeing Moves

  14. Matt,

First : happy holidays and a perfect 2013.
Thanks for creating and maintaining this very important aviation blog for all of us with interest in the last produced Boeing airframes at Paine Field.
For myself, I use this blog for obtaining valuable info about the progress of the 747-8 flight tests and assembly. Therefore, I want to thank you for all valueable photos plus added info provided over many years.

    Thanks, Peter (747classic)

  15. Matt, your flight line photos are the best things ever. They bring joy to my boring day. Wish you'd do more of them. Also wish I could hang at KPAE, all I've got is the webcam, which I abuse! I'll try and send something your way for the holidays.

Thanks to you too, Peter. I pretty much snipe your 747 updates on airliners.net and put them in a google spreadsheet All Things 787 style, with additional inane commentary for amusement (or annoyance?). Check it out:

  16. In this day and age of people asking for handouts in exchange for doing nothing, tip of the hat to Matt and his tip jar for providing something useful and interesting. I sent Matt a donation a few months ago, along with renewing some subscriptions to various Aviation related pubs. If I did not find value, I would not be visiting the site let alone contributing.

As to the nay sayer(s), Im glad that Matt has an open site and comment policy that allows all to express their comments, good, bad or ugly.

An improvement would be to disable anonymous for comments, for those who feel that they have to hide, you could still use a fake id, Gmail account or proxy your IP.
