Paine Field September 11

LAN Airlines CC-BDH at the compass rose.

ZA263 Ethiopian Airlines ET-AOR was scheduled for a B1 flight today, engines were started but then shut down after a few minutes. The 787 did not make it on to the runway today.

Boeing flightline.

Hainan Airlines B-2728 at the fuel dock.

  1. Two questions
    1) whose is the 747 with 747 on the tail?
    2) the front half of that 737??? Has been outside for months.......why?????

    1. The 747 with 747 on the tail is RC001 used as the first 747-8 Intercontinental test aircraft, destined for a BBJ (VIP) customer (State of Kuwait), test registration N6067E, painted in red-orange Boeing Sunrise livery for PR reasons, future registration will be 9K-GAA
The aircraft will go into a paint hangar next week to be stripped of its unique livery before being handed over to the VIP customer in late October.

  2. The Ethopian Jet did not fly today due to the Fuel Pump not working and it should fly today or tomorrow
