Paine Field January 28
Air India 787 VT-ANC was moved out of the 45-03 paint hangar to stall 114.
Inside the factory:
Air New Zealand 777 ZK-OKN and Air India 787 VT-ANA are in the 40-24. Early Friday morning ANA 767 line 1000 was moved from the 40-24 to the 40-32 and is facing north. The floor of the 40-32 was recently painted white, it looks really sharp. In the 40-36 it looks like most of the fuselage sections and wings for 787 line 33 are in the building.
On the flightline:
VHF radio checks were conducted on 787 ZA177 line 23 Japan Airlines JA822J this evening.
ZA102 N1006F returning from a test flight. ZA001 N787BA had landed 15 minutes earlier, taxied to the A1 intersection and remained there for two hours before departing to Boeing Field.

Any idea why ZA001's MLG doors were open with the engines still running? Were they testing alternate gear extension mechanisms prior to landing? Blew a fuse on the retraction motor?
