787 Update November 30

Dreamliner One, N787BA, was moved from the 45-04 paint hangar to the fuel dock Saturday night.
Mark your calendars, N787BA and 747-8 N747EX are both scheduled to attempt B1 flights on December 22.

  1. I'm no expert at reading tea leaves but that looks like a positive sign. A successful static test followed by first flight in 2009 would be a very good thing.

  2. Certainly looks encouraging or optimistic. I would guess they are striving for a 2009 first flight and have to prepare for it while the static stress test goes foward. With confirmation of the fix they can get into the air shortly thereafter Many of us hope so. Good Luck!

  3. Fingers, toes, arms, legs, all crossed. That would be a great way to end 2009 with the 787 first flight. I can't wait to see it go. Also get a little jab back at Airbus.

  4. 747-8 is not scheduled to fly the same day. Won't fly till 1/14/2010. They will, however, be knee-deep in testing simulated flights on the flightline with a simulated B1 flight just before new year's.

  5. When are you going to do something about your shitty site? It uses over 400k of memory to load the 'older posts' page and crashes IE8, FF, Opera, Chrome and Safari which is just completely insane.

Instead of cramming 387,421 pics and videos on one page why don't you learn how to use the archive function properly?

  6. Hmmm. Someone showing their "intelligence" (above). I really appreciate this site; it's like being there. Keep up the good work and ignore knuckleheads like we see above.
