WH001 777-9 N779XW departed Boeing Field for primary flight control system regression testing. Tomorrow is flight test operations holiday shutdown prep.

WH006 777-9 line 1605 moves from the flightline to the 40-22 slant position tonight.

RC704 Atlas Air 747-8F N863GT departing on the B-1 flight at 1712z. Departure audio here.

The last 747 B-1 flight was scheduled to last three hours but the airplane returned early.

A GE9X engine (LH) was installed on 777-9 WH001 on December 12, N779XW departed Boeing Field on a functional check flight December 17. A borescope inspection was performed during the post flight. Planned for next week: primary flight control system regression flight testing. WH002, WH003 and WH004 are in storage.

RC704 747-8F N863GT was scheduled for a B-1 flight today, flight crew was on the airplane this morning but as of 2150z the flight plan has timed out. At 2240z starting engines for a taxi test.

N863GT is on the flightline tonight doing ACARS functional checks. Quite possibly the first ACARS messages from the last 747.

 

 

777-8 News 

 According to a preliminary production schedule, WJ001 line 1847 will be ready for first flight in June 2026, The second 777-8 will be WJ002 line 1855.
