Paine Field August 28



N787BX inbound from Boeing Field for a low approach. The 787 came back for a full stop landing, parked at the compass rose for a few hours, then went back to Boeing Field after the runway was opened.



N787EX and N787FT arrived at Paine on Friday evening, they both left late Saturday morning and returned to Boeing Field in the afternoon.



N787EX left for a short test flight around 11 am and came back about an hour later.




N787FT left a few minutes after N787EX.

Paine Field August 26



N780BA is moved from the flightline to Kilo North.


As the LCF was moved to it's intended parking position, a problem emerged. The airplane could not be maneuvered around the newly installed tiedowns (the yellow squares in the photo, protruding two inches above the concrete surface) without damaging the tires. It was eventually parked on the taxiway.

N787FT had a flight plan for a 9:41 pm departure to Boeing Field, unfortunately Rwy16R/34L closed at 9 pm for repairs until 7 am Sunday August 22.

N787FT diverted to Paine Field on August 17th due to the Boeing Field closure during the POTUS visit, 20 minutes before landing at Paine a hydraulic leak was discovered and the 787 remained on the ground all day Wednesday.

787 Production Slowdown?


This 787 nose section sits on the Boeing Everett flightline after being unloaded from an LCF on the evening of August 3. Normally, 787 components are moved to the 40-36 building immediately after being unloaded. Three days on the flightline may be an indication that there is no room for parts at the back of the 787 assembly line.
